Solemnity of Saint Paul of the Cross 2024

On October 19, 2024, We celebrated the “Solemnity of St. Paul of the Cross”, a blessed gathering that honored a saint whose life of deep compassion and service to the poor continues to inspire and guide our mission as a synodal Church. Under the theme, “St. Paul of the Cross: Our Inspiration for Journey and Mission as a Synodal Church,” Approximately 150 people—including religious sisters, priests from various congregations, and lay members of the community—came together in shared faith. Amidst the challenges of the ongoing conflict in Israel, this celebration became a moment of peace, reflection, and unity.

The Eucharistic Mass, Presided over by Rev.Fr. Renato Santos (Philippine Chaplain) at 10 o’clock in the morning, was held in tribute to St. Paul’s holy example of love, service, and devotion to Christ’s passion. After the Mass, everyone gathered in the garden for a simple yet heartfelt buffet lunch prepared by Passionist volunteers and friends, fostering an atmosphere of fellowship and gratitude. Through prayer, shared reflections, and the warmth of community, this gathering renewed the call to journey together as a Church devoted to compassion, inspired by St. Paul’s enduring legacy of faith and mercy.

After lunch, a volleyball game takes place in the outdoor court. Teams compete in a friendly tournament, showcasing their skills and teamwork. Spectators cheer as players dive and score points. At the end of the games, trophies are awarded to the winning teams, celebrating their hard work and achievements. It’s a fun and lively event that brings everyone together.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who participated and contributed to this sacred celebration; your presence and support are blessings that enrich our mission and strengthen our community.
